YBP Bike Work

​We take excursions throughout the week. Some are close to home, like going to the store to get snacks or going to a nearby swimming pool. We also take whole day excursions, like going to McKinney Falls State Park to hike, learn about Austin prehistory, history, and geology. Students learn a bit about the big excursions prior to going. We read articles or web pages to get a basic idea of what to expect. When we go, we get to see and experience the things we had read about. At home base, students create some product to show what they learned during the excursions.
