The Roving Learners is a small private school dedicated to addressing students' individual academic and behavioral needs.
There is a strong focus on social emotional learning and pro-social skills. Students engage with the public numerous days a week, under the watchful eye of one to two teachers. Students follow the same theme each day or week, but complete different activities depending on their skill level and interests. |
Roving Learners has an 11 and 14 person passenger van used to get around the city and surrounding area. We roam two-three days a week to visit places that fit the theme we are studying at any given time.
Two to three days a week we stay at our home base (South Central Austin) to focus on academics; reading, writing, math , science and history. The skills students are introduced to at the home base are reinforced and put to use as we rove around town. |
We operate year round. During the school year, we follow Austin ISD calendar. During the summer we take a few breaks.
The 2022-2023 school year begins August 15. School day will be 8:00-3:00 Tuition for the year is $13,200. There is a $800 fee to help with gas, snacks, entrance fees, etc. In addition to full time options, we accept part time students too. |
