The Roving Learners WAS a small private school dedicated to addressing students' individual academic and behavioral needs.The school closed in August 2025.
NOW Roving Learners runs youth camps during major school breaks - Spring Break, two Summer sessions & Winter break.

- Spring Break Camp - March 16-20, 2026 - $450 ($400 Early Bird Special, enroll by February 15, 2026) - $100 deposit
- Summer Camp Session 1 - June 1-19, 2026 - $1,100 ($1,000 Early Bird Special, enroll by March 31, 2026) - $250 deposit
- Summer Camp Session 2 - July 13-31, 2026 - $1,100 ($1,000 Early Bird Special, enroll by March 31, 2026) - $250 deposit
a day in a nutshell
Campers will be dropped off and picked tip at one central Austin location each day (see calendar below). Barton Springs Pool is one example, where we might hike, metal detect, swim, etc. The next day will be at the Central Library, where we might have reading time, play games, explore the area around the library, etc. Campers will bring a back pack, swim suit, walking shoes, hat, two water bottles, cold lunch and snack.

Excursions

The Roving Learners take daily excursions throughout central Austin. We visit museums, libraries, business, hiking trails, swimming holes/pools, cemeteries, parks and other local sights.
